That\u2019s why it deserves its own dedicated post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading text-justify\" style=\"font-size:16px\">What is the front bust and why does it matter?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-justify\">First, we must distinguish according to biological sex:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"text-justify\">In <strong>male morphology<\/strong>, the front bust serves as a control measurement to identify specific back conformations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"text-justify\">In <strong>female morphology<\/strong>, this measurement also reflects breast shape and development, making it <strong>structurally essential<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading text-justify\" style=\"font-size:16px\">How to measure the front bust?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-justify\">The measurement is taken from the <strong>front neckline point<\/strong> (where the neckline meets the shoulder seam), passes over the <strong>nipple<\/strong>, and then goes <strong>straight down to the waistline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-justify\">However, there&#8217;s a challenge: we don&#8217;t have a fixed anatomical point to place the tape at the neckline point \u2014 unlike the back bust, which starts from the <strong>seventh cervical vertebra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-justify\">A common practice is measuring over the client\u2019s clothing, but that\u2019s <strong>inaccurate<\/strong>, as the shoulder seam may not be in the correct position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading text-justify\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Accurate method to measure the front bust<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-justify\">To take an exact measurement, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"text-justify\">Place the tape on the <strong>seventh cervical vertebra<\/strong>, as you would for the back bust.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"text-justify\">Wrap it around the base of the neck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"text-justify\">Pass over the shoulder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"text-justify\">Drop down to the <strong>nipple<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"text-justify\">From there, drop vertically to the <strong>waist<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/tevipa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/m02_BustDel_il01_EN-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Front bust measurement from cervical to waist.\" class=\"wp-image-852\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tevipa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/m02_BustDel_il01_EN-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/tevipa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/m02_BustDel_il01_EN-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/tevipa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/m02_BustDel_il01_EN-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/tevipa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/m02_BustDel_il01_EN-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/tevipa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/m02_BustDel_il01_EN-2048x1152.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"text-justify\">This path includes the distance from the seventh vertebra to the base of the neck, so you must <strong>subtract the actual neckline depth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading text-justify\" style=\"font-size:16px\">How much to subtract?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"text-justify\">Subtract <strong>one-sixth of the half bust circumference<\/strong>, which equals the back neckline width. Or use a corrective value: <strong>one-eighth of the half bust + 2 cm<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"text-justify\">This gives you the <strong>true shoulder seam position<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading text-justify\" style=\"font-size:16px\">What do we get from this triple measurement?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Bust drop<\/strong> (shoulder seam to nipple)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Front bust length<\/strong> (shoulder seam to usually <strong>1\u20132 cm longer<\/strong> than the back bust.<br>However, in most men\u2019s patterns, this difference is <strong>not considered<\/strong>, as it\u2019s compensated by leg length
